Sign in as Different User missing in SharePoint 2013

In SharePoint 2013,

By this time, most of you would have found out that the Sign in as Different User option is missing on the SharePoint sites.

I had to login to the server every time with the service account to get around this as when I try to open from my local machine it takes my windows credentials

Hot to fix this

Append the below to your Sharepoint site URL : 
/_layouts/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=true

The URL should  be : 

http://sharepointsite/_layouts/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=true
